We are Long Islanders and New York Islander fans that want our voices heard.
We want the Town of Hempstead & Nassau County officials to know that we wholeheartedly support Charles Wang and RexCorp
in the development of the land around the Nassau Coliseum.
We are not affiliated with Charles Wang, RexCorp or the New York
Islanders except for being fans.

The time is upon us. LILHPEDA will be at
the rally and hearings to bring you the latest news.
We have backed off for a while because there
was a need for things to work things out over the course of the
last year. There was nothing that we were going to do that
was going to make the process work faster.
We did make some noise though. Upon
announcing the creation of LILHPEDA and the cyber rallies, Kate
Murray immediately cancelled her appearance at the coliseum two
seasons ago.

The single and main focus of our efforts at this time
is to REMAIN in constant contact with all Town and County Officials and let them know that you support the
Lighthouse project. The Town controls the zoning variances and the
County owns the land. Many believe the ball is in
the Town's court. In reference to zoning, yes.
But the county still has a say with land ownership. This is an
effort to
make the politicians see that this is something that we as fans,
citizens, tax-payers and voters want and need. Visit our mission statement page
to see a more in-depth view of our purpose and what we will need you to do to support the
effort.
The most important thing for you to do is to start going to
Ms. Murray's Contact Page.
Let Ms. Murray know who you are
and that you want the approval process, agenda, hearings and timelines
established NOW.
Her email is
katemurray@tohmail.org.
Phone is (516)812-3310. Fax is (516)481-3183.
There are three other things we need you to communicate:
1) We need a new arena for our hockey team to upgrade our beloved
coliseum. This in turn will allow the Islander's to remain on Long
Island after their contract runs out in 2015.
2) We want the tax relief that the LI Lighthouse
Project will bring to our community.
3) We want the jobs that this project will bring
to Long Island.
Read through our abstract on creating a
Political Action Committee.
We could use some advice.
Feel free to contact us at

LILHPEDA is set to transform into a PAC if the need arises.
